Aisha Strand

Aisha graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney in 2011, with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Master of Chiropractic. After University, Aisha worked for two years in a family orientated practice in Sydney and began to study Applied Kinesiology, to extend her range of expertise. Throughout this time Aisha found caring for people and helping them to optimise their potential extremely rewarding, utilising a range of techniques from gentle forms of adjusting through to traditional manual Chiropractic adjusting and soft tissue techniques.

Aisha loves working with people from all walks of life, though she has a special interest in working with pregnant women, babies and children. In keeping with a holistic view of healthcare, Aisha is acutely aware of the importance of nutrition, exercise/rehabilitation and emotional wellbeing, always encouraging people to take an active role in their healthcare.

Apart from providing Chiropractic care, one of Aisha’s other passions is Chiropractic research. So in January 2014, Aisha moved to Auckland for a year, to complete a post-graduate diploma in Rehabilitation at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT). While in New Zealand Aisha further expanded her skill set, studying a technique called Total Body Modification (TBM) – with an emphasis on the physical, chemical and emotional components of health.

Aisha is now completing her Master’s Thesis project and in the future planning to work toward a PhD. The focus of her research will be to investigate the neurology behind Chiropractic care, with a special emphasis on children with developmental delay.
